Looking for a Mil 26

Hi Guys,

We’re looking for a static Mil26 (Mi-26) helicopter. We’re not worried about missing engines or gearbox, pretty much any condition is acceptable as long as it looks like a -26!

She’ll need to go to Eastern Europe so what is of more importance, given she’s such a monster, is her geography. Any successful leads, as usual, will result in a £100 reward to RABF.

Thanks!

Taifun

Or possibly these yards.

MARZ – Moscow Aviation Repair Plant –

… where they take those ‘wrecks’ to refurbish and repair them – into immaculate examples like this….

Another repair plant – probably SPARC in St Petersburg

Not a Mi-26 to be seen…..

Taifun,

You have a PM… If it comes off, can I please request that the £100 goes to Flights for Life?!!!! – A charity which I am heavily involved with.

Thanks!

There are some here at a place called Chernobyl, but I wouldn’t recommend hanging around long….

Wasn’t there an Ebay seller who listed a lot of Eastern European aircraft at one time? I think there was some association with a UK company possibly in the Cambridge area?
