Looking for a print of a Do 17Z

I thought it would be easy to find one of these on ebay – just to display with some small bits of a Do17 I have. There are none!

I’m not looking for an expensive work of art, just some side view on good quality paper.

Can anyone suggest a source please?

Thanks!

Apologies stand corrected, don’t know my Dovers from my Beachy Heads. Wouldn’t have been much good navigating one of those things would I ?

A great shot, indeed. Hate to be nit-picky, but it is actually Beachy Head (the lighthouse is visible) with Belle Tout and Birling Gap just coming into shot.

Quite a way from Dover.

If you want to use a photograph, you could do no worse than use one of the pictures on page 39 of “Battle of Britain Pilot” the self portrait of an RAF fighter pilot and escaper – George Barclay, which depicts 3 Do 17s at zero feet approaching the White Cliffs of Dover. Geat shot.

Were you after a painting or a profile of the Do 17Z?

I was thinking of something simple like those in the attachment… Just a side view etc. Can anyone do one?

Thanks for the heads up on the artwork everyone.

Hi Andy – no not the Goodwin sands, but same part of the world though!

Tuck1940 – sorry – i’ve just been so busy. I’m up for a trip if you are still. Give me a ring and maybe we can sort something out?

Cheers

Yeah- the forum virtual art gallery on here – there are several artists of varying quality who could probably do you an original piece for £50 to £100.

FOR EXAMPLE (although its a Shackleton, and not for sale,) I could do you an oil on canvass or board 3ft x 1ft for £75 + postage
