Hi everybody, I normally dwell in the modern military aviation areas of this forum but on this occasion I thought I would branch out a bit. As the title suggests I am looking for pictures of the Supermarine Type-545, the supersonic swift development. I did once have a photograph showing the nose up close, it rather resembled the F-100 super sabre. Unfortunately I suffered a computer loss and the photo vanished along with many others. So if anybody out there has any images of this some what enigmatic aircraft or information (specs etc) please share them with me, I would be most gratefull.
Thankyou in advance sealordlawrence.

Recovered with the help of PSP from one of the thinnest negatives in my collection.
I took this circa 1958 at Cranfield.

Nice one Mark, I only know a few published photos of the airframe – there is one that is often published ‘reversed’

I can recommend looking at Project Cancelled by Derek Wood as it has a good photograph an full spec for the aircraft.
If you can not obtain a copy I will post details of the aircraft spec

Great picture Mark thank you very much, It looks a bit like Darth Vader there! :diablo:
Any more would be greatly appreciated- especially with the nose cone attached.

I am unable to scan pictures just now, but there is a photo and 3-view of the 545 on pages 397 and 398 of “The British Fighter since 1912” by Francis K Mason 1992 edition.
