Looking for spitfire canopy and windscreen assembly

Evening all and Happy St Georges Day!

I am looking for a lead on an original spitfire canopy and windscreen assembly please. Ideally the canopy would be complete with hoop and frame.

Please contact me by PM if you are able to help.

Thanks

I heard it mentioned at the aerojumble at Newark that he was retiring out of the business, but good news if he has had a change of heart :applause:

Stirling 01 your request is easier! Downland do the casting and the Perspex can be bought from original makers. The rest of the frame is relatively easy to make.

Heard a rumour that Downland are not longer producing the casting. My friend does have a brand new Perspex for the External type windscreen for sale but its for collection only.

Thanks for your advice Tony!

Yes Cees I’m also still working on the Spit Mk IIb section. Have replaced nearly all the hot instruments and have the column with controlstick installed. Still need the original casting for the landinglight lowering and beam dipping control
