Any ideas what this is folks? It was sent to me by a friend in the Czech Republic and the photo was taken near Hradec Kralove recently.
Looks a bit like a Sopwith Pup but I am not sure.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

It’s a replica Camel, painted to represent Capt. Roy Brown’s aircraft (the one he was flying 21st April 1918 )

Must admit Rich it looks like a Pup (Scout) to me, I cant see any sign of the forward ‘hump’ affect that appears on the Camel, and the prop looks further forward.
It must be my aged eyes!

It’s a Camel replica, OK-NUL, painted up in 208sqn colours. I’m afraid I don’t know anything about the origins of it, although there is a Czech company that makes Fokker Dr.1 replicas so it might have something to do with the same outfit. Clearer pic on link below.

Ref
A company in the US sells a whole range of replical WW1 aircraft, perhaps they are manufactured in Czech www.airdromeaeroplanes.com including a Pup,although the picture does look a bit more Camel than Pup.

More like replica Camel. note the humpy back and the lower wing dihedral.
