Lord John Carbery's Bristol Scout A

I came across this photo taken of her at Paris before the tragic return flight to London on 11th July 1914.

But my question is what colour is she as the cowling has three different shades, and I cannot find anything on the net ??

Raw image below. Perhaps lacks a little at the red end of the spectrum?

Thanks gentlemen, I do have “photoshop” however my version is rather old, and does not have that capability.

Wings and tailplane probably doped and unpainted.

Have you tried using Photoshop’s colorize function?

I will put my cards on the tabel now and state firmly that I know *nothing* about the aeroplane. However, I wonder whether it might be painted in patriotic shades (if I’ve found the right Carbery online, likely white, orange and green)?

I’d also bear in mind that there’s a strong chance that the photo was taken on an orthochromatic emulsion so the tones may be a looong way from the colours they represent.
