I thought it was awful. For something that is titled ‘Last Summer’ the pictures of people look entirely contrived – where are the crowds? Irritating that they all described as ‘plane spotter’; irritating that 90% of the photos of Concorde itself are utterly rubbish… I guess the slideshow replicates the content of the book, if so, it’s one worth avoiding.
Go on Damien…. post one of your piccies. Remind us of the times we “vanished” from work for an hour or so to see them off!

Even the exhibition of the pictures in London was cancelled! Crap idea for a book, was not representative of what really happened in the long summer of 2003

I have a copy of the book on my desk, that was sent for review. It has very little to do with the airframe itself, and appears to be full of quite random images in my opinion. Some may like this, as has been proved by comments above, but for me, I was really dissapointed. Peter March has a much nicer book available, with some great images in it.

Some nice pics but overall not worth parting with £25. Sorry.

I have seen the book in the shops and I agree with Damien. Pretty awful. What a waste of a Concorde book.

Some Great Photos there, very atmospheric.
We didn’t mind pausing our meetings for a minute every day at 11:00 in our Chertsey office as it went over, just reminded us how good we once were….

🙂 A nice little tribute,I liked the photo number 23,at the beginning of the slideshow for number 23 .Concord approaching the tree with the children climbing.
In this “green” enviroment now and global warming with the ozone layer i wonder what she would be thought of today.
