No competition mate. If I want a decent photographer I’m coming looking for you. You make the official forces snappers efforts look amateur.

Stunning shots TEEJ, simply stunning!

Love them all, esp the Tornado back seater who is waving back at you.

And the shots where the condensation cloud is just starting to form as wisps of cloud are great – the “rotated” shot of the Typhoon, and one of the Tornado pics show it perfectly.

More please!

Their shots versus yours….you win.

I only looked at about 100 pages of the 1400!!

Thanks for the comments. I’m just a snapper with plenty of time to get out on the hills. The MOD photographers are superb at their jobs, whether it be military or civilian.

Superb images on the database.

I would love to see the results from a group of MOD photographers on the low-fly routes. Especially with the inside knowledge of what was planned to come through the valleys on training sorties! It would be a great opportunity for photographers in training.

I’ve rotated one of the images.

I say again, the shots on here are far superior than the “Pro” shots I see on the walls of RAF bases and MoD buildings, or books for that matter.

The drama captured in every shot would make any young lad want to join up and fly.

And the acknowledgement from crew….priceless.

TEEJ

Superb, thank you for sharing.

Ref. the Lowfly website, they mention a 300mm with a 1.6 crop is ideal. What is a 1.6 crop?

Thanks

Thanks for the comments guys.

‘UNC’ I’m using a Nikon D2X with a Nikon Nikkor 300mm f/2.8.

Andrew,

The following websites should give you all the info. Follow all the guides and go suitably equipped for the hills.

http://www.lowfly.net/

http://www.warplane.co.uk/

http://franknoort.nl/wales/index.html

Go to the right and ‘Select a Page’ from the menu

Cheers

Why not visit the lowfly website?

There is a forum and everything you need to know there.

Great stuff.

Brian.

Whilst I’m not really a fan of modern jets I have to admit they are some great shots, showing the aircraft at their best.
