Does anyone know which surviving lancaster bomber has the lowest number of hours on the airframe? I was reading an article in airforce magazine and it mentioned that Lancaster KB944 in Ottawa only has 122 hours total time on it! 😮
Now does anyone know the highest time lancaster survivor??
My guess would be a close tie between G George(W4783) in Australia and S Sugar(R5868) at Hendon

I’d think the Motat Lanc must have fairly high hours, having patrolled the Pacific with the French up till the mid 1960’s – the same goes for their others that were retired at the same time I guess.

What about PA474, shes done a lot of hours on the display circuit (ok its cheating as its not in the spirit of the question you asked 🙂 )
she only does 50-100 hours a year, she will have accrued most of her hours when she flew as a test bed at cranfield, interesting question though
