Next Wednesday and Thursday a load of hair-driers and egg-beaters are going to upset my cat out here in the coastal waters where I do my Sunday morning prawn catching. The line up is mostly jets, with the exception of the BBMF and a Catalina that is still out in Canada and unlikely to arrive. I’ll probably pop my head out from work once a day for the sound of Merlins, but thatβs it.
UNLESS.
Are any of you lot coming? Is this worthy of a meet-up? I like the beach and I like a pint, so I could make the effort to walk the few hundred metres from my houseβ¦..
Both days flying start at around 1 pm. There is no Harrier display this year though. A pity,a s that would have got a massive welcome from my webfooted townspeople.

More boring. It’s really a pointless show. To think i’ll only pop my head window-wards once each day. Dreadful.
GIVE ME WARBIRDS!
We had a bunch of planes about today, practicing. You’d have thought they’d already learnt how to do it. Would YOU sit on a beach to watch some aircraft who have to practice how to fly the day before? Pah.
Bloody fool Harrier pilot thought his tape was finished, so pressed the eject button.

Who can think of a good title for the snapper pic!
I thought maybe
“Waiting for Skyraider”:)

“What, no Harrier?”
Nope. The pilot flooded the engine.

What, no Harrier?
Highlight of last year’s show so I heard.
Looks like the sort of varied day that will provide some interest for nearly every ‘non-committed’ spectator.
Who knows it might even drag in a few converts to the more specialised shows? This can’t be a bad thing.
I don’t think any of us should all get sniffy ‘cos there is nothing that appeals to our jaded palates.

Me either. I’ll poke my head out for the BBMF and maybe the jaguar (missed the last ones to fly over my head!) but the firworks are usually superb.

Nowt there then that interests me that I won’t see at Woodchurch, good job I can’t get time off work (especially as my office window overlooks the end of Norwich airports runway.

Probably on their way to Norfolk to wish Mr Martin a happy homecoming from his enforced absence for thoughtlessly shooting a ‘loveable rogue’ and his failed drug-dealer chum.
Legal aid! Pah! π‘ π‘ π‘ π‘ π‘ π‘

You are NOT going to believe this – but it’s true, I swear.
The main southern park and ride place – Pakefield Rifle Range on the A12 – has, these last few days, become populated with Gypo’s!!!!!!!!! Pykie’s with knackered washing machines and engineless cars, lucky heather, mangy dogs, and big posh expensive vehicles have come to watch Denny!
I can’t help but laugh. That really is class.
By: Snapper - 25th July 2003 at 15:54
Use the park and ride – or if early enough, the car park at the railway station / multi storey..
Unless you have, like me, parked already.
Oh, sorry chaps, I knew about the Sea Vixen / Gnat on Tuesday. Didn’t occur to me to post it. My apologies.
By: Moggy C - 25th July 2003 at 12:42
Almost impossible near the seafront I believe, but there’s an efficient Park ‘n’ Ride service

Yup, that’s high tide. Low tide has less water and more beach.
