Paul,
I’ve answered the same question on FC but here goes;
1. No its a Scramble, (the crowd will be fenced in opposite the shed), they are not waiting on the runway. But there will be the opportunity to stand along the normal open day crowd line for the final Lightning runs (separately).
2.10ft from runway edge, and between end of runway and first intersection, approx. 400mtrs, and with restricted numbers, its not expected to be full.
3.No end of runway shots.
4.Canberra Hunter and Bucc will start on the runway opposite the crowd line as per usual open days.
5. Museum will be open for viewing.

Its been a long time since attending a Bruntingthorpe running day. So a couple of questions
1) If the two lightning leave the QShed will they hold on the runway to allow enough time for the crowd to move to a postion by the runway ?
2) How close to the runway and how far down the length of the runway are the public allowed, if there are a lot of people does the crowdline get full ?
3) Is it possible to get a position at far end of the runway to get shots with the tail chute running ?
4) Assume Canberra, Hunter, Bucc ect will be ‘filling in’ between 13.00 and 15.00, again is there time get from the start up ramp to a position on the runway.
5) Are all the museum aircraft available to see and photograph in the morning ?
Sorry for all the questions

Just a reminder about this coming Sunday, gates open at 11am, Double scramble at 13.00hrs from the QRA shed and then when the brakes have cooled enough a single run each from 728 and 904, probably around 15.00-16.00hrs
Pilots for the day, John Ward (728) and Dennis Brooks (904)
Come along and wander round the shed and have a chat with us all.
728 is now fully serviceable after nearly 4 years of in-depth engineering work.
Canberra, Hunter and one Bucc will also be running for us during the day.

Congratulations to all the group and for all your achievements. I remember coming to one of the very early taxi runs at Bruntingthorpe. After a retraction demo on the pan by the hangar, we stood at the side of the runway (on it) earplugs in, and then ‘728 was fired up and once warmed up did a reheat run straight past us a few hundred yards along. Absolutely stunning! I take my hat off to you all for your dedication to achieve your aim. Long may it continue.

Today, 24th June 2013 see’s a major mile stone in the LPGs history, 25 years ago we managed to obtain XR728, and she was flown into Bruntingthorpe from Binbrook
Here she is on that day on the Binbrook line
Chris Berners Price on his way
Leaving in style
Overhead Bruntingthorpe
Touch down
And finally with the LPG, safe and sound
We celebrated this in style last Saturday, 25 years later, Chris was back with us for the day and we practiced a double Q shed scramble in preparation for our public celebration on the 28th July, hope some on here can make it to witness our continued efforts to preserve a slice of Cold war history
