Before I book my Leg-ends ticket for the saturday can anyone confirm that there WON’T be an LPG day that day? In previous years there has been….Andy?
Are any open days planned this year?

We will do our best.
Hi
No, no flying, just a chance to get up close and personal with some all time classic aircraft. What makes Bruntingthorpe different, is that you can touch, even sit in most of the aircraft, then feel and here the awsome brute force and power of these great machines.
If you have never been before, Bruntingthorpe will be a very different sort of airshow, and we hope a very personal and enjoyable expirience.
We all run on tight bugets, but we never cut corners, and you will be hard pressed to find so much enthusiasm anyware else.
Bring a camera, and we will try and make it a happy face!
And be sure to say hello and introduce yourself to us, it’s good to meet people and put a face to names.

Just a quick question, prior to my first ever visit to Bruntingthorpe tomorrow,
will there be any actual flying ? Is it worth bringing binoculars ? or just a camera and a happy face ? Keith.

Looking good for tomorrow.
Hi All
We just got home from Bruntingthorpe, after a long hard day. All is looking very good for tomorrow, I belive the Lightning lads have a supprise up there sleeves, which should be great, the Hunter and Jet Provost WILL both be running and are already possitioned on the flight line as I write this.
The rest of the Museum has been re-aranged, with a very impresive cockpit line up which includes a German F-4 Phantom cockpit just in from Poland.
The Super Guppy has been cleansd and is gleaming, and quite a few stalls were being set up as well.
The Vulcan XH558, will be out in the fresh air, with talk of an APU run and flying control demonstration and possibly an engine run later in the day.
So please come along and say hello, it should be a greatday out.

Taken off the TVOC web site:
STOP PRESS!
It has been confirmed that XH558 will be taking part in the Show; she will be moved out from her hangar to Pan 1 and will be carrying out static ground demonstrations on two occasions during the day!

Hi TT,
Your safe to book your ticket mate, at present there are no weekend dates available though out the summer of 2008 for us to have our 20th anniversary/Jimmy Dell memorial open day. Sorry.
We are trying hard to get something in Sept 08, but thats a long way off so just keep an eye on the Lightning thread;)
The dates that are confirmed are:
Our photgrahers day, 26th April (no running that day)

And the BAH open day 25th May (running aircraft to be confirmed once the insurance issues are cleared up)
Thats it for now, but I will update as and when 😉
