A World Airways MD11 operating GEC8284 BRU-EMA-JFK had a wingstrike at EMA in the early hours of the morning (roughly 2AM). Apparently an engine was also damaged during the ‘strike’.
‘The aircraft is still AOG in EMA, a new CVR and FDR are enroute as we speak. The winglet will be replaced soon, but the CDL allows the plane to go without it.’

Maybe not apparent from the postings, this was a wing strike ON landing! Aircraft is believed to be N275WA and will be ferried to Paris.

I its indeed a WOA MD11F – these operate BRU-EMA-JFK for GEC – rather than a GEC aircraft. Not too badly damaged I gather and should be flying away in a couple of days.
