Lufthansa details engine shutdown on brand-new A380

Lufthansa has disclosed that its second Airbus A380 has undergone an in-flight engine shutdown just a couple of days after entering into service.
The aircraft, powered by Rolls-Royce Trent 900 engines, was delivered on 19 July and put into service last week on the Frankfurt-Tokyo route.

I used to drive Land Rover Discovery V8’s. Everyone knew that it was silly to buy a new Discovery until it had been in production for a couple of years.
Those who aimed to be first with a new model experienced all sorts of problems.

hey come on i work in the ILS (integrated logistic support) world for BAE and every one knows most faults either occur very early in a items life or very late

I agree with that. The learning curve goes on.
