I was going to, but I had to work instead unfortunately!

Never mind – if I had gone I would have even less money to spend on Whitleys etc.

Should have gone to the RLM auction there were bundles of Luftwaffe instruments that went quite reasonably with some of the item listed 🙂

Thanks Herbert

You are knowledgable as always. The person who is looking for these instruments is a serious collector so i’m not surprised they are hard to find items!

I’ll keep looking…. :p

Good luck with your Hurricane fuel gauge

In the auction´s Bf 109 E panel there was a small later Fl 21118, not the correct, big early one.
Also the Propeller Verstellschalter could have possibly been the later one.
There was also a common 130° instead of the rare 160° temperature indicator. But there was a late Fuhrertochterkompass instead of the FK 5 compass. Not a bad change when you think about selling the instruments.

I thought the 109E panel had some of the instruments in and it went for a reasonable price, the zundschzlter looked ok on it the last one of those I saw sell went for £400 I think the panel went for about £700. Anyway that is a pretty expensive shopping list !

Exept the small Führertochterkompass none of these rare instruments were in the lots.
And from the picture I could think, that the compass in the instrument lot was a good replica.
I at least expect the correct early Zuendschalter in my panel (lot 210) but could be a substitute.

Herbert

Hello Elliott

Regulary the panel builders are using replicas of the Schusszaehlerkasten SZKK3.
But there was one at eBay (the first one I saw) maybe still for sale.

The early Zuendschalter for Bf 109E to G4 is very rare, currently I know two people looking desperatly for it.

The small Fuehrertochterkompass is a piece every Luftwaffe collector is looking for. There are many replicas around, show me pictures before you buy.
You could try to make a deal with Matthias:
