Luftwaffe Griffstuck

This was dug up in Poland (Gdansk) and sold in Germany last month.

It was advertised as a Luftwaffe control stick and is obviously not a KG12/13 variant.

By chance I came across pics of them in the He177 armaments file. Also in the FW200 Gondola.

Used on the FF and MG151 in tail guns and in gondolas on the He177, FW200 and others.

This one has been in a crash and broken off just above the base plate.

Does anyone know what button it would have had – M14 diameter.

Thanks Ian – once I worked out what it was and searched under MG151 – I saw your post on the other forum about a piece at Stoneleigh. At least there are a pair now in the Uk.

Just need a Heinkel to fit them in.

Hello Brian, I’ve got a matching one, although mine claimed to be P47! I found a few more images, including a complete dug example again from Poland. I’ll sort out the pictures tomorrow. Also mounted in the nose of later ‘Einkels and Ju188s and the like. I think the button is a bigger diameter than the KG12/13 type.
