Luftwaffe panel at Auction.

I was a bit taken aback by this one yesterday.

It sold for £1150 plus 29.94% so £1500.

I suggest that this is part of an underwing panel from a Ju88 – Looking at the drawings it is most likely from the fuel tank access hatch between the engine and the fuselage.  Hence the RLM dark green and the Balkan Kreuz are later additions. 

N.B. if it was a Ju88 upper wing panel ( ignoring the vent ) the cross would be slightly angled and be 1m in length.
