Luftwaffe restoration projects in Belgium?

Hello dear forum friends,

I’m currently searching for information about several authentic Luftwaffe aircraft restorations in Belgium. Can someone give the any info about possible progress or status of the projects listed below:

1. A Friesler storch (MS500? ) reported to be owned by Vormezeele which is based at Braschaat in Belgium.

2. A Ju88 restoration project which is privatly owned and should be located in the east of Belgium. This restoration Project is of the Ju.88-A4 with the c/n 88-142160 and parts of the following Ju88’s: Ju.88-A4 with c/n
88-140242, Ju.88-A5 with
c/n 88-430813 are used in the project.

3. A Bf109 F4 (identiy unknown) reported to be somewhere in Brussels. See the pic below of this aircraft.

Any info about any of these projects is more than welcome.

Regards,
J.V.

Thanks Dave!

So the Me109 and the Ju88 are both long term static projects.

All I’m currently looking for is some info about the MS505 from formezeele (and not the MS500 he sold to Moterbende). There are reports that the MS505 was originaly built as a Friesler storch and later converted to MS505 status. It is reported that this example has a canopy supporting a MG 15 gunmount?

Any further info about the MS505 is more than welcome.

Greets,
J.V.

I’m rather intrigued about this Ju88 – what is happening with this one?

Hello Kenneth,

I’ve noticed these reports that Vormezeele has sold his MS 505 OO-STO to Motorbende. But there are other reporst that he may have aquired another MS505. But I know nothing about this other MS500. This MS500 may have flown one day with the swiss HB-??? registration, but I can not confirm this with certainty.

Hi Stieglitz,

As regards 1), I believe the MS.500 has been purchased by a Mr Bende of MotoBende in Germany and is now with him. Restoration to airworthy condition with an Argus engine is planned.
