Had an excellent day at Luton on Sunday, the sun was shining and the traffic was moving! I walked for more than 2 and a half hours in the sizzling heat and was exhuasted and a little burnt by the time I got home. Still, it was worth it!
On with the photos:
First, the new El Al 6x weekly service to Tel Aviv departed. It was an excellent sight to see scheduled wide bodies operating into Luton once again, and it is very rare that we get Legacy carriers like this here!

Then about 15 minutes behind schedule the 717 that had been sitting on the stands since Thursday departed. This airline was previously AeBal (SpanAir link) and was only very recently repainted. I must admit, I’d never seen a 717 before!

A couple more from this side of the airfield.

By this time the sun had begun to move round, so I packed up my things and made the long journey round to the terminal, and after a hearty burger king, shot in the glorious evening light. 😎

Sky Europe are bringing in all sorts of interesting eastern european aircrat at the moment, here are the two that were operating Sunday’s evening flights.

Had a bit of a failed attempt at panning, unfortunately this is the closest I got.

Saved the best till last, just as I was packing up to leave a strange callsign I didn’t recognise appeared on the scanner. I decided to stay a bit longer, and I’m glad I did! MD-80 biz! 😀

Thanks for looking, as always comments and criticism are always welcome. Seriously, if you see anything that could be improved even slightly, just say. I’m trying to take my photography a step further at the moment, and this is the best way!
Thanks again,
Dan.

Decided it wasn’t worth starting a new topic for.
Went up to Luton on Wednesday evening just for an hour or two. Originally planning to see an Arik Air 738! Unfortunately this was cancelled, but I did learn of a JetTime flight returning from Rome (where apparently United had been playing a football match. I have the memory of a goldfish, would any united fans like to remind me of the score? :diablo: ).
Anyway, just a few photos:

Thanks for looking,
Dan.

Awesome photos Dan! Can’t believe you walked all the way round to the crash gate!!! That’s mental!!! Myself and Huw can be thankful we have chauffeurs to take us there. 😀
I’ll have to give you my number for when I’m next planning a LTN crash gate visit. We could so easily pick you up which saves all the transport hassle. 😉
Keep up the good work!
