Ahh yes I know what you mean. When I lived in Southall I spent many days over at LHR in windy and wet weather watching the planes land in the challenging conditions, great fun.
Yuppers.. its draining on the body standing i na windy field for like 8 hrs non stop but I love the plane lights on and the sideways landings etc etc that come with bad weather and LTN sure gets its share of crap weather.
Quick update from todays visit.. unusual visitor.
No Idea why it was in! Got alot of shots today it was pretty busy, Will see if I can get most edited and uploaded on here for tonight.
Ciao for now.

Thanks man, Twas a bit of a joke.. weather was awfull.. couldnt stand still because of the wind. But I love shots with runway lights on and aircraft approaching or planes all lit up with horrible dark sky as opposed to sunny side on shots so I go stand in the mess 😀

Thanks very much.. It was definitely asscending and headed along the path they all take for the Atlantic crossing.. The landing stack is way off in the distance on the otherside of the motorway. Hey I’m a Luton boy.. Those gulfstreams will be a never ending theme :p
ciao!
Great stuff:):)

Some very nice shots my friend. Those Gulfstreams are gorgeous. Would that BA 747 in one of the last shots be a BA LHR departure or in the hold? I can remember once seeing LTN several times from a BA 777 as we went round and round for what felt like ages. I flew on the all over orange Easy a couple of months ago, NAP-STN. Keep those ‘Gulfs’ coming
