Well not quite, but that’s what it felt like today! I should be cracking on with the rest of my ‘Round-the-World’ posts but couldn’t resist an early morning drive to LTN today to catch my first ever aviation shots in the snow (and I’ve had a DSLR for 4 years !). Who needs Innsbruck any more when you’ve got this so much closer to home 😉 As you can see LTN is the biz-jet capital of the UK. I’m tired after a 5:30am start so have just quickly edited a quick selection, but will try and get the second half of the morning’s shots on here by tomorrow. As always if you like to see uncompressed full-size versions then check my jp.net link (below) in a few days time.

Thank you for the comments everyone. Propstrike, I saw that image on pprune and it doesn’t look far off what they might have seen out the window on approach to LTN! One last nightshift at work tonight and then I can get the rest of the shots from that day on here…

Very pretty shots. The orange of the EZY and the snow contrast quite nicely. 😀
Slightly off topic, but they seem to get a fair bit of snow at Luton each year. It appears to me a bit odd then that it has been closed for a fair while last week given that Airfield Ops should be more used to snowy conditions.
Talking of snow, seems Birmingham is shut this evening/tonight. Maybe a touch poor given I can see literally 2cm of snow from my uni room window about 10 miles away from there?!? 🙂

Just thought I’d also quickly add a couple of shots from MAN last week, there’s not much point in starting a new thread for them. These were taken on my visit to meet up with Paul (PMN), taking advantage of a couple of empty legs on company aircraft.
