As is being reported elsewhere:
“Yesterday Westland Lynx HC.28 QP-31 was moved from Fleetlands to the museum and details of this latest acquisition can be found here on the museum website!
This will now enter into a long-term restoration programme at Winthorpe.”

An interesting thought DaveF68, a Lynx HC.28 and possibly a Monospar ST12 both suggested for the ‘rarest restorations’ list!
Season’s greetings everyone from Nottinghamshire!

Must fall into the ‘rarest restorations’ at least as far as variant is concerned

As you say an interesting acquisition.
On slightly different tack; the museum is open for the next 4 days and then closes on December 24, 25 & 26 – it reopens on Thursday 27 December at 10am. Still time to do that pre-Christmas shopping in the NAM Shop!

Its one of those airframes like the Ugandan Scout where the airframe is interesting but the purposes it might have been put to are a bit hmm.

It is an interesting acquisition and one that will require a significant amount of work; a good number of the missing panels arrived ahead of the airframe itself. According to the item on the museum website, a return to Qatari markings is planned!

Nice acquisition: I recall seeing this with two others when they were freighted through Lyneham back in the late ’80s/early 90s. I hope the restoration will involve the correct QP colour scheme?
