Lynx used as an air ambulance?

This morning whilst making a delivery to the Co-Op warehouse in Andover I saw a Lynx fly in and land at the DLO site nearby. The aircraft landed out of sight (5 metre high wooden fence obstructed view) but 5 minutes later the helicopter took of and headed in the direction of Salisbury which has hospital with a helipad.
Could this have been a medical emergency requiring urgent attention and being at a military site only 5 miles from Middle Wallop meant an AAC helicopter was used instead of unnecessarily calling out the Air Ambulance from Thruxton (only 3 miles away)?
