Lysander L6804 Crash – Braunstone Leics. 23:07:1941

Hi folks,

I wonder if anyone can assist?

I am researching the loss of Lysander L4806, which crashed at Braunstone, Leicester on 23:07:1941.
I have quite a lot of information on this accident, however the aircraft was carrying a passenger, an Army officer.
The passenger is not listed on the AM form 1180; it is this individual I am seeking to identify.
Does anyone have access to the RAF Digby ORB for this date, or the ORB for No. 65 MU (who may have dealt with this crash)?

Many thanks in advance,

Don

Ossington – You are, of course, correct.
(The joys of posting after a long day…!)
We have visited and recorded that Blenheim site…
I have now amended the post title and text.

paulmcmillan – Both persons on board survived the crash.

What is the Pilot name? If so did he die and did the passenger? If both died should work out name via Dearh Registration

Oh, I forgot to mention, L6804 was a Blenheim.
I tried inputting the date of death in the CWWG webpage and have come up with 91 entries. Most of them seem to be seamen, probably from just one vessel, and no-one of army officer rank.

Mr B! Is that serial correct? I, or rather the Air-Brit number jungle, has L6804 being abandoned after engine failure near Colston Basset, Notts,, 4/3/42. A 17OTU machine.
