Lysander Riddle

Out of interest does anyone know why the Lysander which is now with the Musee de Air routed through a Portugese Air Force base and what the connection was?

It was traded to the Portuguese AF Museum who were disappointed at what they got, it having been somewhat ‘robustly’ restored and thus it was traded on – not sure if on a ‘refund’ or ‘hot potato’ basis.
