Can anyone tell me which companies with M8-20 or equivalent are restoring Spitfires at the moment?
The obvious ones are:
Airframe assemblies
Supermarine aviation
People keep telling me there are others, but who are they?

Don’t worry about the Whitley folks – i’m about to go out to the workshop to drill some centre section holes in a minute.
If I wait to finish the Whitley first however I may well be too old to enjoy the Spit 🙂

I’d far rather Elliott put his Whitley together first – there are (soon to be) hundreds of Spitfire’s being put together but very few Whitleys 😀
Jeepman,
Quite right old chap.

The oracle is on the CAA website here:
http://www.caa.co.uk/docs/1204/20121123AandABCARA8ApprovedOrgsList.pdf
Search on M5.
You will be suprised at the number of organisations with M5 approval but of course not all of them are engaged in restoring Spitfires.

Are’nt Supermarine Aero a supplier of parts ?
Supposed to be however still waiting for a quote for parts for my own project since May of this year!
Believe they have been putting together the fuselage of Mk17 Seafire SX300 for the same owner who owns SX336.

I think you mean A8-20 companies, with M5 and E4 approvals.
Ralph Hull does not hold any approvals.
