I was at a wedding on the west coast of Scotland on Saturday, and by chance saw a poster for the airshow, so rather than travel home on Sunday morning, I spent the day at the show and came home late.
The weather was very variable, ranging from rain showers and overcast to bright sun, so unfortunately some of my pictures turned out dark, ‘though out of 500 taken, there are a reasonable selection to show.

The BBMF C-47 also failed to show, but as I was fortunate enough to be away from the tannoy, I didn’t hear the reason for the cancellation.
BBMF Dak was unserviceable at the weekend, however the lads were really dissapointed to miss the 3 odd hour trip there then back again!!!!!!!!

Very nice pictures Steve.
Like the one of the Spit coming head on with the mountain behind. 😀
Looks like a nice little show! 🙂

The Sea Fury made it to the display, but the Sea Hawk had problems and never got to the show. The BBMF C-47 also failed to show, but as I was fortunate enough to be away from the tannoy, I didn’t hear the reason for the cancellation.
Did anyone else venture that far North West for the show?
That’s all folks

The two seat Spit gave a nice display and the mountains behind gave a great backdrop.

Aerobatic displays varied from the slow gentle Chipmunks, to the fast Hawk and the violent Red Bull pair. Notice their ferry tanks on the last picture.

The C-130 created I think was is my favourite picture of the day, on take off with the vapour trails from the props.

A nice surprise, and something I hadn’t seen before was the B1 Lancer. It only made three passes with the wings in three configurations, but was still an impressive sight, ending the display on reheat, punching up through the low cloud base.
