I had a couple of hours to spare today before my meeting in Cambridge. A nice sunny morning and thought I would pop into Madingley for some thought/reflection.
Just a few pictures to share.

I have cycled past it on my way home from work in the small hours of the morning,it is certainly has a peaceful tranquil feeling then.
Ironically i have done the same past Hadstock/Little Walden airfield and “felt “quite uncomfortable.
Madingley is a must place to visit and reflect.

We can NEVER have enough photo’s of places like Madingley.
It is a beautiful place, calm, serene and overwhelmingly powerful. Everyone seems drawn to the reflecting pools and they are incredibly beautiful on a day like today with the reflections of the sky and the Stars and Stripes.
But it’s the wide sweeping shot of the row upon row of Crosses that does it for me, a panorama of the dead. And the majority of them carefree young men who crossed the Atlantic in their thousands for no reason other than that it was the right thing to do. Each sacrificing their own future.
Sometimes we just need to be reminded.
