what on earth is “Eporue”? Certainly not in the English dictionary (Or German for that matter)

Sorry, probably should of explained this in my initial post, but it is quite simple to understand…look at it backwards! 😀

Well you all know what my airline is, Air Australia, ive posted it before lol 😛
Serving from Hubs cities like – Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Los Angeles, Singapore.

Aircraft –
A319-200 – Domestic Routes
A320-200 – Domestic Routes & Short Haul Pacific Destinations.
A321-200 – High Density Domestic Routes, Majority Trans Tasman Short Haul Services, and Pacific Destinations.
A330-200 – High Density Domestic Routes and Lower Density Asian Services, and some Trans Tasman.
A330-300 – Majority Asian Routes, Middle East, Honolulu.
A340-500 – USA, Selected European Routes, Johannesburg Services, South America.
A340-600 – USA, European Long Haul.
A380-800 – High Denisity Routes – Asia, Europe and USA

Well mine would be Aero Ecosse. Flying at first short haul domestic routes from EDI and GLA then expanding to continental Europe possibly picking up further bases at PIK and ABZ. If I am as succeful as Branson and Stelios then that little pond may be getting the odd extra 767 flying GLA to SFB and EWR. 😉 😀

My airline would be called: Eporue Airways

My fleet would consist of:

5 x Boeing 737-300 (130Y leather seats
5 x Boeing 757-200 (207Y leather seats)

My airline would be based at London Manston (Kent International) because no other airline currently serves it, and I think it has got potential!

It would serve popular holiday destinations within Europe, and we would offer a luxury full service to completment the price of the fare.

Then that should do just fine as LCC is really not Manston best thing more charter.

If you read my post above, I have stated that I would operate a luxury service, so it defo can’t be a LCC, which means it would have to be charter or scheduled…

Airline name: Leap airlines and Little leap (the city vesion e.g BA connect)
Main Bases : Southampton, Gatwick , Bournemouth , Exeter
Destinations : To most places in europe ,Ireland and to Icleand , Finland, norway and flights to Australia
Fleet: A320 A321 , A340 A380 (if i had the money) 757 , Embrear 145 A318

I’d have a bunch of 757s in 35″ pitch thrughout with a proper on board service exploiting medium and long haul from Scotland. My airline would be flexible enough to cope with seasonal traffic and reduce or add capacity/frequency to the more popular routes.

Nice ideas all, looks like the Holiday Airline ideas are still a popular idea!

There are MORE than enough No Frills airlines running these routes already.
Ergo… more competition.

And I dont see Richard Branson complaining about the way his airline is going.
Don’t Virgin offer that little bit extra (in First) like Door to Door service.

Just one example of a Large “Private” Airline that’s doing fine.

And…

Aren’t “United” the largest Private Airline in the World?

Or maybe that’s 2 examples.

Sorry, I misunderstood what you said about economy seats – I’d say that the no frills market can still increase, particularily regarding UK domestic flights – saturation point hasn’t been reached yet.

I’d also prefer to run a ‘virgin’ style airline, offering incredible service to passengers, but on the LON-NYC route, its (at the moment) a very saturated market – time will tell if MaxJet manages to keep themselves in business.

The problem on 744’s is establishing youself and gaining a good revenue stream within a short period of time, to be able to afford the aircraft.

The one area that seems to need a player is cheaper first/business class fares – as discussed before, first class is extremely expensive – it wouldn’t cost too much to bring the cost of first seats down – whilst still being profitable…

Maybe an airline flying DC-7s from NY to LA…………or Boeing 377s from NY to UK…………..

I’m guessing the ‘aim’ of the excercise would be to still have your fictional airline in business after a couple of months 😛

On the website, www.cardatabse.net/modifiedairlinerphotos, click on the request photos forum on the right (you’ll probably have to become a member, it’s free and stuff) and submit a thread stating what livery you want and aircraft and someone might paint it for you.
