I’m off to Malta tonight from Newcastle on a Air Malta 737-300, I’ll still be on from time to time while I’m over there, and will hopefully bring back a report too! See you all soon!! 😉

Sorry about the news, but you can be proud to go out at that age.
Both my Granddads have now passed away.
But anyway…….

I’ve been to Valletta, the capital. It’s a lovely place, it’s more for the older generation than the younger. It really is a lovely place. Funny, my Nanna is buried in Valletta too.

Sincere condolences, at least you can take comfort in the fact your old grandad lived to a ripe old age.
I hope you find some enjoyment from your trip to Malta, oddly enough my late grandparents used to love going to Valletta each year and I’ve always fancied a visit myself.

Glad to hear the flights were good, shame about the consequences 🙁 Hope it all goes well for you and the family.

Glad you enjoyed your flights. Just a shame they couldn’t have been for a happier reason. My condolences and best wishes!

Thanks wysiwig and Steve, that photo is not far from where I was, I think that is the Buggiba part of Malta. Anyway, I got back on Sunday with my granda. He was brought over for the last few days of his life, which unfortunatley ended today. He was 97 and had blood poisoning, kidney problems, heart problems, a burst ulcer on his stomach and was in need of a liver transplant. The Air Malta flight out was very nice, although for most of the flight I was asleep! The return leg was nice too, on a My Travel A320. The people on board were very nice and knew there was something wrong with my granda (mainly because he was on a bed like) but the flight was very nice! Thanks for all the comments everyone.
Ben. 😉

Thought you might like this shot I took a couple of weeks ago on a straight in approach to the south easterly runway. We had just flown over Gozo and you can make out just about all of the main island.
