The Malta Aviation Museum has recently acquired the remains of Westland Dragonfly HR1 VZ692 from Weston-Super-Mare. It is missing a number of major parts including, main rotors, tail rotor, nose landing gear, rear seat, most of the rear fuselage panels etc…
Anyone who could help us source such parts would be helping us getting VZ692 restored back to its former glory!!!
thanks

Sorry for not replying to your question Andy, Mike has given you a correct answer.
I have since given the airframe a good clean and inspected it. The airframe has been butchered to an extreme state, it needs alot of man hours, when I say alot I mean thousands!!!
Talking about thousands, it also needs thousands of euros spent on it tooo!!
Apart from the butchering of the actual airframe, so many parts are missing!!
Nose gear, doors, all the rear paneling, rear seat, winch assembly, control sticks, control panel …… and the list is endless.
I think the best option with this HR1 is to put up a list of the missing parts, try to obtain/purchase these parts. And then after the majority of the vital parts are in hand, the project can be started.
Malcolm.
