MAM+AIRBASE Museums…

hi,
just to recomend the above 2 museums at Coventry,spent a couple of hours wandering about-excellent usage of time…both sets of staff very helpfull…

hi,
no unfortuantly,the guide was showing the DC.6, then around the Nimrod,I had not got too much time,as also wanted to go to the MAM,then catch the bus back to Coventry for the train home,thats why could only allow a couple of hours for each museum.Perhaps another time…

I did, and lost my camera lens cap while inside. luckily found in a small bin behind the cockpit 🙂

Glad you enjoyed Airbase! They work awfully hard down there to make everything accessible with as few barriers as possible, so it’s well worth a visit. Did you get a chance to have a look around the Shackleton (which has its own thread on here).

I agree, usually do both when up there. Love the feel of Airbase and the staff are great to talk to.
