Wings were fitted today, thing looks better with them attached (if “looks better” is a phrase that can be applied to a Hind! :rolleyes: )
Seems there will be a general tidy-up around the ‘frame, external equipment to be re-fitted like the chin “ball”, etc. The tail rotors will be fitted as well, but with the on-set of the winter months and the expected winds, the main rotors won’t be fitted until next summer. They don’t have rotor anchors yet and don’t want to take the chance of damage. Can’t blame them really, the five blades are huge.

Very nice, interesting addition to what is already a fine museum. Will the museum start offering tours around it like they do with the Argosy and Vulcan? Would imagine it would be very popular.

Looking good (if that also can be applied to a Hind?) always a bit of an oddball-looks like someone strapped the front of a Huey Cobra to a Puma….
shame the Afghans got so good at shooting them down!
