The day started bright, a little sun and news that Heathrow was shut and the EK 380 was a possible diversion.

Then the weather started to close in.

At this point hope had faded of any decent photos and the 380 rumour died a death. So it was round to the AVP for bacon, hot tea, a warm car and the SBS.

It was one of those days that you can look back on with some satisfaction. Didnt quite feel that way at the time. There’s something about ‘diversions’ thats exciting. I guess its from years ago, when I skipped college at the mere mention of FOG on the weather forecast to be greeted by PANAM and TWA 707s.
B77W, I saw the BA 767 through a snow storm, but missed the 777.
Thanks for the comments.

Some good stuff there, considering the conditions. 🙂

Great shots, CW.
The FR is my favorite.
Did you happen to catch the BA 767 (KORD) or BA 777 (ZSPD)?
