Man 22-02-04

Visited a very cold and windy MAN yesterday. Had a very good afternoon. A chip barm and a flask of soup helped keep out the chill.

We’ll start with one of the big boys…..

It was due to go to Air Holland but the agreement fell through at the last minute and it came back and obviously they haven’t bothered painting it.

Great photos Kev, particularly like the livery on that Air China. I’d really like to get upto MAN, but the cheapest I can get there I think is around £50 on Virgin trains, or £120 on Eastern Airways!

RYR to BLK at approx £25 and you will find for around £15 return you can catch a train from BLK to MAN – its not the greatest offer but a viable alternative, and is certainly the way i’d choose!

Agreed, that plane must be very near MTOW I reckon.

Not necessarily, it’s just the angle in the first shot. In the 2nd one, it looks normal.

Great pictures Kev 🙂

Great to see references to Father Ted… One of my absolute favourite TV shows.

Fair enough. On the first shot it looked rather low to me, probably just the angle.

Excellent shots, especially the two China Airlines. I am a real fan of their colour scheme!

Are all 747 Cargos this close to the ground?

(With apologies to Father Ted and cow in perspective scene.)

Ah now Dougal… this helicopter is small, but that helicopter is far away…:D

Great pics Kevin.
