Hi all,
This really was quite a different day! Got up at 4:00 am to get to MAN as early as poss. Pulled into MAN airport station and watched a BA 737 approach – clear blue skies and some great water vapour! Then got out of the station and were met with dense fog – myself, Adam Dowley and Sam McCrimmon were not impressed to say the least. 😮 🙁
Went to the AVP and saw Concorde, but when we got to the other side of the AVP it was no longer visible; that’s how bad it was:confused: . Then decided to go to the T1 cafe and watched the apron – i then decided to listen into ATC out of boredom and to our surprise we heard that there had been a hydraulics leak closing the runway for 20 mins!!! it was exciting to hear the controller trying to sort the aircraft holding stack out!
Finally the sun appeared, and we got to rotation point on 24L at about 3:00 pm for the opening of the runway, and got some good sundown shots!
Enjoy!!:D 🙂 😀
