Hi all,
Planning on a trip up to MAN this week and was wondering if the Roof-top viewing area of the Multi-story car park was still closed for maintenance? If so, when does it plan to re-open? (if at all?) Are you not able to spot and take photos there at all?
Also, I’m aware of the taxiway maintenance works next to this spot. Is this work still going on?
Hope the roof-top becomes a viewing area again soon if it’s still shut!
Anyway feedback would be appreciated.

There is still construction work going on on the taxi way directly in front of the car park. It will be going on for a few months yet. The road way behind the T2 stands has just developed a large kink in it so that the 777-300’s have a few more stands to park on. They can only park on stand 202 (the one nearest the car park) or remote at the moment.

Is there still construction on the taxiway there infront of the viewing area? Last time I saw a pic of the taxiway, it was blocked off with a/c taxiing around the back.

Yeah, level 11 is good. Its bound to be raining when you get there (:p :p :D) so you get a bit of protection from the elements which is good.

Hi, yep level 11 is still good for photos, i went there in november last year and the difference between that and the top level is minimal! Have fun!

I would say it probably is nearly as good as level 13. Security have never bothered me when I have been there, never been bothered by security anywhere at MAN!

Yeah i drive and I do go to Southside, but when they are on 06, it aint as good in this spot as I like to be close to the action like on 24L!
Is nice to get shots (with good angles) from up the car park. So, would you say that Level 11 is just as good for photos? What about security-wise? Do the airport/security etc mind?

AFAIK it is still shut. Don’t know if/when it will reopen.
Level 11 is ok for shots, if you don’t have transport the pub or AVP is a better option by bus, or if you do then the southside is great. 🙂
