Here’s a couple from earlier this month..
I’ll be back later in the year for when the it’s darker earlier, so I should get more movement in the background..

Fabulous. I love taking night shots, things look so different!
Lens stopped down to give the star effects on the lights?

As for the car park, what exactly is the situation with it? Can it still be used as a viewing facility? The last I heard, ages ago, the shop had been shut and level 13 was a no-go area for spotters.
You can still get access to the car park easily enough, the shop has indeed gone and there is a high metal mesh fence around the wall of the car park (although its missing 😉 in a few places ).
I’ve never had any bother up there from any of GMP’s finest 🙂

Lovelly shots well done! Please keep them coming. Brings back memories of me as a kid at the airport watching the Airfrance Caravelles arrived at night.

Thanks for the comments 😉
I’d love to take night shots like that, how did you do it?
Tripod is a must and also easier with a release cable to avoid any movement..
100 ISO..
I mainly use TV to get the desired effect, just keep altering the shutter speeds and check the Images. Anything from 8 secs to 30 secs.
Will be better if more traffic moving in the backgrounds, to get streams of light.

Very nice indeed, Neil, I really like the first one. Superbly captured!
I’ve been meaning to try get some night shots from the level 13 car park for quite a while now but I’ve never managed to actually do it. I think I may need to drag myself out of the Airport Hotel a little early at some point over the winter and take my tripod up there!

Simply beautiful, I am envious, I’d love to take night shots like that, how did you do it?
Do you mind if I save them to use as desktop backgrounds?
