Had a few unusual visitors to LPL this afternoon, due to MAN being closed for snow 😮 (We are only 25 minutes down the road and its glorious sunshine here)
OK from Prague
KL from Amsterdam
LH from Frankfurt
BA from LHR/LGW/FRA
ZB from Alicante
and also a few more regular visitors FlyBe and Aer Arran. Apparently MAN are back open now. No photos, sorry!

Bit of mist/fog tonight at MAN. RVRs jumping all over the place (as at 2036 and a few seconds it’s >1500m all the way). Saw the mist forming whilst in work near the dead centre of Manchester

The FedEx MD11 was still there when I had a quick look this morning on my way to work.

I think that’s the plane that was in Leeds.
Well, despite Manchester having a quieter day traffic wise due to diversions, last night we got a FedEx MD11 which should have gone to London, Ringway reports say it was having de-icing problems…

MAN seems to be getting badly hit just lately, it was last Monday when LBA got so many diverts! The weather has been pretty crap (well good) round here, fair bit of snow/sleet, and was quite foggy up at LBA as well.
Fog? Snow? Sleet? Not in the city anyway! Shows how much of a difference that 600ft makes!

Snow is amazing! Just had a big snow ball fight on the way back from school, not surprised MAN have diverted some flights!
