Evening All!
At the weekend myself and Jordan, my photography student kid, had a wander over to MAN to meet up with Belfast photographer Dave Henderson and his friend Marty. The weather was surprisingly pleasant and a good time was had by all!

Huge thanks to Jordan, Dave and Marty for a very enjoyable day. It was great to finally meet up with you, Chip! π
Thanks for looking. π

Thanks guys!
Matt, I adjust my camera so my shutter speed is at least 1/3rd of a stop faster than my focal length, so if I’m at 200mm my shutter speed will be at least 1/250th, if I’m at 400mm my shutter will be at least 1/500th. For shooting jets I don’t really pay much attention to what speed it’s at as long as it’s slightly above my focal length, but for props I use shutter priority and try get the slowest shutter speed I can. I believe the two Dash-8 shots in this thread were at 1/125th for a little blur on the props. π

Some really great photos there, been missing my regular trips to MAN so it’s wonderful to see these.
Just wondering what shutter speed you typically use for these kind of photos?
Regards,
Matt.
