Hi
I am planning on going to Manchester tomorrow for a day of photoing and one of the locations I was thinking of heading to was the southside, more specifically 24L rotation. I was wondering if anybody could help me with how to get there. I will most likeley be travelling to the Airport by Train with my bicycle and then riding around.
All help is much appreciated!
Kind Regards!

I walked up the steps and went through the gates and got to the back of the fire station, however it got confusing as there was a path heading downwards to the right into some bushes and overgrowth, and a path going up the side of the hill. As it was a boiling hot day and there was bees and wasps all over the place I decided it was a bad idea. But was the path heading into the bushes the right way in the first place?

If you travel from the AVP, go through the tunnels at the 2nd tunnel you are faced with a roundabout, on the right hand side as you emerge is a set of stairs, follow the path for a quite a distance past the fire station and you’ll be at the rotation point, if you have a car, then, and this is what I did, take the left hand exit at the roundabout, then a sharp right, theres a small wooded lane that leads to the hotel, I think its ok to park your car in the lane, then proceed on foot to the vantage point.

Thanks for the link, I have tried that site before, and from the sounds of things, basically I have to go up the stairs after the 2 road tunnels under the runway, past the new fire station and then walk up another hill and I should be at 24L rotation?
