Less than optimal conditions again… this has been a really frustrating summer for me.

Doesn’t seem to bother the wasps much though, does it? 🙁

Anyway, here goes:

And, just to prove that you should never underestimate a knackered old B747-200……

Enjoy….. 😀

Is it just me, or has the number of wasps seemed to quadruple this year? The damned things have been a pain in the backside all ‘summer’! Nice images as usual nonetheless, Lance. Excellent catch with the 747!

Cloudwarrior… Just a gentle, friendly nudge to say it’s usually polite to seek the thread starters’ permission if you wish to add your own images to their thread. People like Grey Area are usually quite accommodating if you ask nicely! Nice shots of an old beauty, though! 🙂

Come to GLA where the weather has been equally dismal, but wasp free. Oh and I’ve failed to witness a DC-10 or 742 this year either… 😉

Taken on the 15, but since the thread has touched on the subject, here it is.

I saw the Omni and the Hellenic going out again today. I also saw a 737 with an all blue tail, might have been European but not sure, only caught the tail from the maintainance area.

I will state the obvious and say that the 747 is on XL rescue missions and was probably empty. Yesterday there was an Omni DC-10 returning some pax from Sandford as well. Most of the rescue flights I have noticed have been made by “The usual suspects” though.
Yes Lance the summer has been rubbish. there has been no let up at all. There have been some interesting sunsets though.
