Chill winds, leaden skies, blue smoke drifting across the airfield from a great big barbecue behind the Viewing Park.
It could only be Manchester in early September…..

Enjoy…. 😀

I love the MON. It looks like Tiny on the WW in the backround is quite interested in the woman on the tail!

I saw the Monarch 757 at LGW not too long ago & the BMI A330 at LHR!
Both of these pictures stand out as my personal favourites.
Nice one Lance 🙂

I was under the impression that Monarch logojet 752 was a limited period paintscheme yet there it is still and starting to peel off, not sure where I heard that though and I maybe totally wrong!
Great selection though Lance .
Your not the only one Tom I heard that awel that it was only for there until the end off April.
Great shots Lance like the BMI A330 TO and the last shot:cool:

Wow, thanks chaps! 😮
Actually, I think the British Midland A330 take-off shot beats the Cathay Pacific B747 shot hands-down, but who am I to argue? 😎

Some nice shots there Grey, the CX Cargo is my favourite…good comparison of size against the biz-jet in the foreground!
That Binter Canarias 737 looks nice as well, but what was it doing at MAN, do they operate to/from the UK now?
No, Binter Canarias still operate flights between the islands solely, but the 737 is used by Futura (I think) on a Saturday flight, from LPA I think. The rest of the week, it is also used on inter island flights.
Btw, nice shots Lance, I like the MON and CX ones best.

Well it may have been overcast, but you’d still need sunglasses to view some of that lot ! 😎

Great shots! Did the sirens from the party annoy you at all? They were on and off all afternoon!

That last shot is stunning, Lance! A wonderful angle, nice fogging in the engines and captured with perfect timing (as one would expect from a bass player. :))
The rest are rather nice, too!
