I feel like I’ve been away for a long time – it was time to pick up my trusty Olympus and get snapping again.
This collection was taken at a new spot for me – and a very interesting spot it is!

cheers

Ah… look at that lovely pub ! 😉
If that’s a pub ..i would think the beer garden ( if it has one ) would be a spotters Utopia

Hey D….
there is only one thing to say….You’re getting bloody good. I love them! Slam Dunk, ya? 😀 some of your best here for sure.
My favourite is the virgin atlantic 74’s, of course. 😀
Now, i’m not coming to do photography at MAN in may, but you may have to drive us past there if the weather’s nice. pretty please? 😀

Adam,
Great to see you back out with your camera again.
A great selection from a spot at Manchester that we don’t usually get to see that often.
JET2 on approach sells it for me.

Lovely shots Adam!
I went to that spot last time I went to MAN, but I stood on those rocks at the bottom of your pics!
The Dragonair B744 is amazing!

The BA and Flybe shots are superb Adam!
Where is this rocky place?! lol Looks excellent!
Its the spot off Moss Lane, just to the right of the fire training facility – Big Rig – and beside the railway branch line that was built for rwy 2. The whole area looks like a mini quarry; and just like the better known ‘southside’, you’re elevated above the fence.

The pub is still a bit tired looking but thats because itd very busy now. Its been turned into a spotter and kids friendly joint. Plenty of seats and tables next to the threshold. Climbing frames and swings for kids. BBQs in the summer with bouncy castles. At weekends it opens early for spotters and knocks out nice tea and bacon butties.
Well, if the spotters are spending money, it’s keeping a pub open. And at least it’s a “Theme” pub, the theme of which doesn’t necessarily lead to agro after the match!
Unless somebody lies about a claimed reggie spot! 🙂

Excellent shots, Adam. 🙂

Yeah.
I used to frequent that pub in the 70’s. It was actually a great pub.
I went back in 1996 and was disgusted at how run down and scruffy it had become.
The garden at the back was particulary awful.
Has it changed much since ’96?
Yes, I also like pic #1 as the best shot.

Icelandair pic is stunning! Looks a great vantage point – where ever you were! 🙂 Deffinately not a view we’ve seen from MAN before! 🙂

Hi Adam.
Nice to see some different angles from Manchester, Like the Icelandair with the boozer in the background, but the Dragonair does it for me. Good shots
