How easy is it to get to view Concorde at Manchester Airport, using public transport (can you access this aircraft from Manchester Airport railway station)?

It seems a shame to me that free public access to the aircraft wasn’t one of the conditions for being given a Concorde. Access to Duxford is only £2.95 more expensive than this single aircraft tour.
My thoughts too ! Thats why i will not pay to go in when a full day at Duxford including Concorde is better value !

From the Airport it is about a forty five minute walk that is only when it is a nice day but I think you can get a bus from the airport which passes near by.

Here’s the answer from Mr C:
The AVP (Aviation Viewing park) is just off the M56:

For the tours themselves, see:

I know someone who works on that Concorde. I’ll find out.

I’ve not been but looked this out a little while ago for a trip that didn’t happen.

You get the train to the airport and then it is 80p on a shuttle bus. (I’d take more cash – websites are often out of date)
