dark light

Manchester in sun and rain.

Some shots from a day in Manchester that started badly but eventually brought some wonderful light!

I’ve flown on both multiple times 😀 (sorry)

Congratulations! Mummy made a fine choice when she booked you on EK! 😀

It went from two A330’s, to 1 A330 – 1 77W (The evening flight been the 332), and finally how it current is, 2 X 77W

Likewise, they’ve flown from T3 – T1 – T2.

I’ve flown on both multiple times 😀 (sorry)

It is strange, mate.

If you look at the link below:

Scroll down to the last photo, and you were with me all day!! :dev2:

AHEM… You… Err… Remember what I was saying about me never having shot an EK A330 at MAN? Well…

I guess I actually did!

To be fair, if we ended up in the Airport Hotel I’d have been drinking, so a certain degree of short term memory loss may have played its part! I have shots of Aer Lingus 737’s at DUB, even though I don’t actually ever remember seeing EI 737’s. Ahh well! 😀

That said, this shot from exactly two months previous to the one above shows, quite clearly, a 777!

I’m guessing there was a ‘crossover’ point where either could turn up?

Was gonna say! They must be at least 2 years old! That Flyjet 757 is now flying for FEDEX in the States.

NCL get the A330 Daily for the DXB flight but not for much longer!
I think LGW get an EK A330 once in a while aswell!

Far from it, my boy!

EK used A330s before the advent of the B777 on their MAN route(s).

The original equipment on the route was the A300-600. 🙂

That’s so strange. I don’t have a single shot of an EK A330 at MAN despite all the times I’ve been there. Oh well… 😀

I’ve been shooting at MAN for three and a half years and been there a lot of times, but I’ve still never seen EK bring the A330 in! Surely it was a one off?

Excellent work as usual, Matt. I’ve never seen the A330 at MAN!
