Manchester in the Sun! 21 October 2007 ('mahusive' post!)

hey all

I thought it was about time I visited MAN for some photography. The weather was superb today, so I tried to make the most of it!

(here’s hoping the watermarks arent too intrusive)

CC welcome and more shots shall follow!

Adam 🙂

hey adam!

didnt realise you had actually posted this thread a week ago, i haven’t been around on this forum recently!

anyway, your shots are really really excellent; each shot is spot on. glad you finally got some good weather! personally, i think its about time we had some photos from you! 😀

I especially like the PIA and SIA 777 shots….there is something about the 777 that just makes these photos stand out.

whatwhat?

why? whats happening to the 757 fleet?

AA are pulling them off the European routes. Which sadly means no more MAN-BOS next year. 🙁

Great shots!

Also you got one of the final shots of an AA 757 in Europe.

The last ever flight is 0830 on Sunday morning in case anyone wants to try and get the actual last shot! 😉

thanks Mark! 🙂

why an end to the AA 757s in Europe?

Quick question: In the Qatar picture, you can clearly see another plane in the distance. It appears to be banking left yet departing from the right of the picture. Was it a 23R departure?

Adam

the a/c in question was a BA 737 – the aircraft that is shown in the previous pic – it departed 23L, banked right, and then later in the climb, banked left – right about the time that the a/c is visible, and more or less came across the rwy centre line heading.

Nice one Ads! Singapore has to be my favourite, you’ve captured it from a great angle.

I love the close up shots the best but each and every one is really good.

Thanks for sharing.

P.S. As far I am aware the minimum requirement for a legal copyright notice is the © + owners name and date. But I could and probably am wrong. Perhaps a lawyer amongst us would comment.

Regards Kenny.

glad you like the shots, Kenny!

As regards the copyright thing, I guess the issue of copyright and how to display a copyright is a bit of a hazy issue for most people(?)

But since the photos are copyrighted to me anyway – how I display a notice shouldnt really matter (AFAIK?) – it shouldnt be needed – it is a shame that members on here have had to resort to adding a little security on their photos since a theft was ‘discovered’ on here a few days ago. The watermark is there to discourage people from trying to make the images their own.

Good stuff there, Adam.

That Jett8 B747 passed right over our heads at LHR on the way out.

It pleased a few of the local “dot-spotters” no end when we (finally) put them out of their misery and told them exactly what it was. :diablo:

Great shots, mate. Hard to pick a favourite out of that lot, but if I had to then I’d say the AA 757. I’ll definitely have to get down again ASAP 😉

Some beauties Adam, the CPA 744 shots really show the size and power of the Jumbo.

Well done
