The flight Niederrhein – Maastricht is just a stop en-route. After the stop at Maastricht the plane will fly on to Nice. They just load more passengers at Maastricht. It is easier for a lot of people in the Netherlands to go to Maastricht then it is to go to Niederrhein.
The new service to MAN will start the 29th of Januari!
Departure Niederrhein: 10:10
Arrival Manchester: 10:30
Departure Manchester: 11:00
Arrival Niederrhein: 13:20
Including taxes etc:
from Niederrhein: €39 – €139 (£27 – £99)
from Kopenhagen: €49 – €149 (£34 – £104)
from München/Munich: €49 – €149 (£34 – £104)

Good. They should buy DHC8s, would be more profitable, especially between Maastricht and Niderrhein:D

VBird confirmed this new route on their website today. Fares to Niederrhein start at £27 single. V-Bird are also selling tickets to Munich and Copenhagen from Manchester for £34 single but this oubviously involves a change of plane in Niederrhein. £34 doesnt sound bad for 2 flights though! 😀
JustPlanes.com also said today that VBird are to take over the once weekly Las Palmas – Niederrhein service from DucthBird.
