Hearing reports that this might be moving from Manston rather than being ‘crisped’!

Wattisham now have XT914 and have no room for another Phantom.
It’s gotta be going to Everett’s.

Wattisham Station Museum viewed the aircraft at Manston and a survey was done on it by the RAF for them. The RAF indicated it wasn’t a good option due to corrosion.
It isn’t heading to Wattisham.

I know the Wattisham Station museum were keen to get their hands on this jet.

Both of the Manston ‘J’s were flown in and I guess demand for the J-79 had gone so it was deemed not worth the effort in removing them. The aircraft is quite crusty so it might have been bought for a spares source.

I hope so. She’s in a bit of a state already but better saved late than never.
ZE360 “O”, previously 155574 with the US Navy, has still got her engines and seats in, which is unusual. A few less bits to find for whoever the lucky recipient is. Would it be Mr. Everett by any chance?
I look forward to updates on this one.
