I know it’s nothing to do with Stats Per Sey, but I used to dread the two weeks leading up to Christmas regarding RTAs when I was a Police Officer, it seemed motorists left their brains from whence they left.
I think the worst of “My” stats was 9 accidents, all totaly unrelated between 17.00, and 20.00. in one day.Christmas week.
No, drink driving offences, just drivers going stupid, and in most cases, speeding.

Pity the actual raw data isn’t available as it appears to be that the search (option) algorithms aren’t accurate. This of course may be due to the lack of granularity of some of the older data.

I guess the grand total is accurate though.

Something’s not right with it, one of our long time villagers was killed on his motorbike 5 years ago in my village and it doesn’t show up.

Seems when I put my postcode in it’s fairly accident free (although I know of one fatal accident in the area) but when I change to bike, bus or whatever, then press reset, the numbers stay the same. Perhaps it’s not working as itg should be or am I missing something here?

Would be interesting to know the comparable stats relating to aircraft UK registered both military and civilian in UK airspace and non UK airspace.

Thats very sobering indeed.
I saw the clear up yesterday of a collision on the main road by me, of which atleast one person died. So tragic.

I googled “bike” by mistake and got something entirely different.:o

Some interesting things are also suggested by the stats:

-> Pedestrians seem to suffer a lot
-> Driver usually survives
-> A lot of those that died probably didn’t have a seatbelt on
-> Elderly are more likely to get serious injuries in a vehicle
-> Junctions and corners are a common location

I suppose that is to be expected as they mostly seem to ride on pavements these days.
